A straightforward detective story set on a journey anything but straightforward, commencing in San Francisco and wandering all the way to Eastern Europe. The book provided its author with an opportunity to draw on his experiences among the psychedelic Haight Ashbury underground where he was one of the founders of the Straight Theatre. Now The Magick Pepers has served yet another purpose : inspiration and backdrop for Pineda's literary musical play in one act Minuit et Pere Lachaise - Midnight and Pere Lachaise. Seet in and among the Pere Lachaise cemetery in Paris, sthe most famous cemetery in the literary world, the play brings to life some of the ground's most notable residents. Dramatis Personae.
